Whoah, busy Friday!  I'm just finishing work, and it was not the best of days.  One of those days with hard moments of communication.  REALLY hard moments with my "clientele" (ha).  Apparently a happy evening was not to be mine tonight.  So the thought that my Sunday is going to be full of football and yummy food is sounding really amazing right about now! (GO PACKERS!)

That said.....the best part of today is that my contact lenses are ordered, my new work cell is ordered, and I even rescheduled a doctor's appointment.  I know, right? Weird.  But seriously, this is a major deal.  The fact that I somehow fit all of this into a day with two major work events is HUGE.  Yay me!  I am learning to put myself as a priority, even if other things are sacrificed.  So I will sleep a little more peacefully tonight knowing that those three things are done.

Ahh, spring 2017, you were MONUMENTAL. Absolutely monumental. You will forever be remembered as one of my favorite seasons of life. an epic week

What an epic week! I'll start with tonight. So my friend Abby moved to Winston. Totally exciting, long awaited, great-opportunity-for-her, overall momentous occasion. I told her we'd celebrate. Picked my favorite restaurant downtown. Her sister drove in from Raleigh. I invited my best work friend to come. We enjoyed a great dinner downtown tonight. Felt all "small city metropolitan." (or at least I did). We walked as a group of four out to the parking lot, myself in front. I heard a scream. I turned around, expecting to see her talking to someone she knew. Instead I saw a man running away from us, and Abby saying that he tried to take her purse. I screamed at him. He just ran away. I saw a cop down the street who pulled someone over. I ran to him to ask for help. He helped us. "Robber" proceeds to come OUT of the parking deck near us AGAIN! pre-wedding festivities continue!

Blair's wedding is getting ever closer....about 10 days to be exact. We are all definitely feeling the craziness, that is for sure. Are weddings ever really "simple" affairs?? Despite the hectic schedule of wedding planning, we are all so excited for next week and have high hopes for a wonderful wedding weekend. Blair is the first of us four kids to get married, the first cousin on one side & only the second on the other to get married - so we are all new at this wedding thing! =) We celebrated with my dad's family this weekend to give them a chance to meet Matthew and his family. My dad's family is huge and most of them were able to come with us to Falls Lake park for two big meals, football, and "hanging out." The rain held off (as the rainbow in the morning promised us!) and Blair and I sobbed leaving because it was such a special day. We didn't want it to end.
