I think that I would make a pretty great detective. Or sociologist.  I love to study people.  In fact, its my favorite pastime besides pictures and facebook.  Sometimes I just sit with my lap top and study people as I work.  In comes in quite handy in my job, because I usually know the ins and outs of our campus culture.  So, if you ever need a Magnum, P.I. in your life.....well, I'm your girl.

Sigh, I don't know how I am going to make it through grad school.  Seriously you guys.  I'm on classes 4 and 5 out of 14.  It is exhausting to work all day and then write a ten page paper at night.  I'm finally getting into theory classes, and philosphy, and its just soooo not fun right now.  I was a communication major in undergrad for a reason.  I only had to have one theory class back then. My mantra of "this too shall pass" isn't working so well right now, nor is my goal to pretend that I am the energizer bunny.  Nothing is working.  Sigh.

Did you know times of high stress can give you temporary ADD? It's true! I learned this fact in class, and a lightbulb that went off in my head!  So THAT'S what has been wrong with me this month!  So I don't need to go the doctor for a prescription!  Whew.  (Proof of this ADD, I should be returning 100 emails right now, or working on a paper).

Ahh, spring 2017, you were MONUMENTAL. Absolutely monumental. You will forever be remembered as one of my favorite seasons of life. an epic week

What an epic week! I'll start with tonight. So my friend Abby moved to Winston. Totally exciting, long awaited, great-opportunity-for-her, overall momentous occasion. I told her we'd celebrate. Picked my favorite restaurant downtown. Her sister drove in from Raleigh. I invited my best work friend to come. We enjoyed a great dinner downtown tonight. Felt all "small city metropolitan." (or at least I did). We walked as a group of four out to the parking lot, myself in front. I heard a scream. I turned around, expecting to see her talking to someone she knew. Instead I saw a man running away from us, and Abby saying that he tried to take her purse. I screamed at him. He just ran away. I saw a cop down the street who pulled someone over. I ran to him to ask for help. He helped us. "Robber" proceeds to come OUT of the parking deck near us AGAIN! pre-wedding festivities continue!

Blair's wedding is getting ever closer....about 10 days to be exact. We are all definitely feeling the craziness, that is for sure. Are weddings ever really "simple" affairs?? Despite the hectic schedule of wedding planning, we are all so excited for next week and have high hopes for a wonderful wedding weekend. Blair is the first of us four kids to get married, the first cousin on one side & only the second on the other to get married - so we are all new at this wedding thing! =) We celebrated with my dad's family this weekend to give them a chance to meet Matthew and his family. My dad's family is huge and most of them were able to come with us to Falls Lake park for two big meals, football, and "hanging out." The rain held off (as the rainbow in the morning promised us!) and Blair and I sobbed leaving because it was such a special day. We didn't want it to end.
