As I spent the weekend moving into a new apartment, and as I sit here on a Monday at lunch eating my wonderful Chick-Fil-A, these are my random thoughts for the week.

I hate "stuff." I might have said over the weekend (upon the millionth trip to the new apartment) ....."Since I'm not married anyway, I think I'll become a nun. They only have like one set of clothes and almost no possessions. Yeah, that'd be nice."

Chick-Fil-A + ice cold coke = cure for Monday blues

Within two hours of being awake, I need coke. Rephrase....COKE ON ICE. Otherwise, I look at colleagues with glazed over eyes, and every conversation is painful. I also should never skip breakfast ever again.

I love pictures. No, really, I mean LOVE. When I go to facebook or blogspot and there are no new pictures to look at, its as big a let down as.......a pantry with no coke.

I do love grabbing a bite to eat with friends at lunch, but can I be honest? My favorite lunch is at my desk photo stalking. 

That said, here is the new game plan. Ready for this? 1). Buy new camera. 2). enroll in photography classes at local community college, 3). Build a portfolio, 4).keep current job but start "side hobby"/"future wedding" fund. Sounds like a plan to me. Please don't laugh, k?

Ahh, spring 2017, you were MONUMENTAL. Absolutely monumental. You will forever be remembered as one of my favorite seasons of life. pre-wedding festivities continue!

Blair's wedding is getting ever closer....about 10 days to be exact. We are all definitely feeling the craziness, that is for sure. Are weddings ever really "simple" affairs?? Despite the hectic schedule of wedding planning, we are all so excited for next week and have high hopes for a wonderful wedding weekend. Blair is the first of us four kids to get married, the first cousin on one side & only the second on the other to get married - so we are all new at this wedding thing! =) We celebrated with my dad's family this weekend to give them a chance to meet Matthew and his family. My dad's family is huge and most of them were able to come with us to Falls Lake park for two big meals, football, and "hanging out." The rain held off (as the rainbow in the morning promised us!) and Blair and I sobbed leaving because it was such a special day. We didn't want it to end. Capri and Getting Home (final italy blog)

After Cinque Terre, we took the night train to Naples, then the ferry to Capri. Friends, if you take the night train in Italy, it is worth it to pay the price to have your own cabin. Trust me. We didn't sleep much at all because we were with 5 other people in this cabin. The island of Capri was amazing! We stayed in an amazing seaside resort, which was perfect for the end of the trip. We didn't walk around, didn't shop, didn't even really try to have an agenda. FANTASTIC.    Then it was back on the ferry to Naples. Of course, this water picture reminded me of LOST (sigh).  Heather left that night for her flight to Switzerland, then New York.  So I stayed near the airport and completely rested. I'll admit, I also cried like a baby.  I seriously get these huge mood swings when I travel - one minute I'm over the top with excitement, the next I'm alone sobbing that its all over.  I also spent a lot of time with God that night, just thanking Him for suc...
