new casa

I've decided, in an effort to remain positive in life, and to remember how fortunate I am, to re-start my goal of listing the "best part of the day."  This is mainly for my own benefit, so feel free to ignore my blog completely. =)

The best part of today was confirming that I am moving!! As of August 1, I will be taking over my friend Katherine's apartment in the West End!  She has been there for 9 years because it is truly amazing. It is incredibly affordable, its in the hip West End area, and only four minutes from my work (which is crucial for those late nights doing student activities).  I am ECSTATIC!!  I made a decision a while ago not to buy a place until I am married.  Let's face it....handywork and this girl do NOT go hand in hand.  This plan may change if I hit 35 and am still not married.  But for now, renting is this busy gal's perfect scenario!

I'm thrilled to move out of my current little studio apartment!  It has been a wonderful blessing for the past couple of years.  But it is tiiiiiiiime to have some more space.  I'm pumped, y'all! Once again, God is a loving provider!

Ahh, spring 2017, you were MONUMENTAL. Absolutely monumental. You will forever be remembered as one of my favorite seasons of life. an epic week

What an epic week! I'll start with tonight. So my friend Abby moved to Winston. Totally exciting, long awaited, great-opportunity-for-her, overall momentous occasion. I told her we'd celebrate. Picked my favorite restaurant downtown. Her sister drove in from Raleigh. I invited my best work friend to come. We enjoyed a great dinner downtown tonight. Felt all "small city metropolitan." (or at least I did). We walked as a group of four out to the parking lot, myself in front. I heard a scream. I turned around, expecting to see her talking to someone she knew. Instead I saw a man running away from us, and Abby saying that he tried to take her purse. I screamed at him. He just ran away. I saw a cop down the street who pulled someone over. I ran to him to ask for help. He helped us. "Robber" proceeds to come OUT of the parking deck near us AGAIN! pre-wedding festivities continue!

Blair's wedding is getting ever closer....about 10 days to be exact. We are all definitely feeling the craziness, that is for sure. Are weddings ever really "simple" affairs?? Despite the hectic schedule of wedding planning, we are all so excited for next week and have high hopes for a wonderful wedding weekend. Blair is the first of us four kids to get married, the first cousin on one side & only the second on the other to get married - so we are all new at this wedding thing! =) We celebrated with my dad's family this weekend to give them a chance to meet Matthew and his family. My dad's family is huge and most of them were able to come with us to Falls Lake park for two big meals, football, and "hanging out." The rain held off (as the rainbow in the morning promised us!) and Blair and I sobbed leaving because it was such a special day. We didn't want it to end.
