Time for my favorite summer pastime. Lunchtime blogging. Speaking of blogging.....there is a serious blog shortage happening!  Blog, people, blog!  Keep me entertained. PLEASE.  (And thank you).

So what has June been like so far? Well, not quite as exciting as last summer when I traveled to Europe and basically had the best summer of my adult life. But it's been good.  I spent half a week with my mom and siblings in Charlotte.  I spent half a week in Pennsylvania with my brothers and my dad/his wife.  I have watched every minute of  The Bachelorette (SHAMEFUL television habit....don't do as I do).  I have loved on my favorite Winston kiddos, who are getting so stinkin' big.  I have helped my high school BFF shop for her wedding dress.  I enjoyed the first of the wedding parties for a college best friend.  I have relished my campus being quiet.  I have enjoyed having adult men my age on campus for once (Governor's School!).  I have brought my lunch to work every single day (yay me!).  I have worked out only three times (SIGH).  I have used Gas Buddy to save myself a fortune at the gas pump! I have seriously fallen in love with my car. Like shamefully in love with a piece of metal.  What is wrong with me?!

I am excited for July and August, because I have a couple of fun trips coming up.  Don't get too excited for me....it's not Europe or anything.  But I'm pumped to go to St. Augustine for work, to Greenville to see my grandparents, and to Holden Beach in August with my mom!

Ahh, spring 2017, you were MONUMENTAL. Absolutely monumental. You will forever be remembered as one of my favorite seasons of life. pre-wedding festivities continue!

Blair's wedding is getting ever closer....about 10 days to be exact. We are all definitely feeling the craziness, that is for sure. Are weddings ever really "simple" affairs?? Despite the hectic schedule of wedding planning, we are all so excited for next week and have high hopes for a wonderful wedding weekend. Blair is the first of us four kids to get married, the first cousin on one side & only the second on the other to get married - so we are all new at this wedding thing! =) We celebrated with my dad's family this weekend to give them a chance to meet Matthew and his family. My dad's family is huge and most of them were able to come with us to Falls Lake park for two big meals, football, and "hanging out." The rain held off (as the rainbow in the morning promised us!) and Blair and I sobbed leaving because it was such a special day. We didn't want it to end. Capri and Getting Home (final italy blog)

After Cinque Terre, we took the night train to Naples, then the ferry to Capri. Friends, if you take the night train in Italy, it is worth it to pay the price to have your own cabin. Trust me. We didn't sleep much at all because we were with 5 other people in this cabin. The island of Capri was amazing! We stayed in an amazing seaside resort, which was perfect for the end of the trip. We didn't walk around, didn't shop, didn't even really try to have an agenda. FANTASTIC.    Then it was back on the ferry to Naples. Of course, this water picture reminded me of LOST (sigh).  Heather left that night for her flight to Switzerland, then New York.  So I stayed near the airport and completely rested. I'll admit, I also cried like a baby.  I seriously get these huge mood swings when I travel - one minute I'm over the top with excitement, the next I'm alone sobbing that its all over.  I also spent a lot of time with God that night, just thanking Him for suc...
