Mr. Belding!

Shout out to all generation x'ers! "Mr Belding" is still around! And doing karaoke on college campuses.

NACA (National Association of Campus Activities) hosted their south regional conference here in Winston-Salem this weekend. Last night I was watching the showcase presentations by several artists and all of sudden "Mr Belding" came out on stage to do a karaoke performance!! Hilarious! After the showcase I found him for a picture....I was so starstruck! How many episodes of "Saved By the Bell" have I watched? He really is a nice guy. He noticed my name tag and immediately called me by name. We talked for a few minutes and then took a picture. I actually felt kind of bad for him that his life now consists of leading karaoke on college campuses.....but he seems happy. So, I say, good for him! I guess there isn't a huge market for former TV high school principals. And no....Zach and Slater didn't come with him.....sigh. Former teenage heartthrobs aren't limited to college karaoke. =)

Ahh, spring 2017, you were MONUMENTAL. Absolutely monumental. You will forever be remembered as one of my favorite seasons of life. For in this season....(are you ready blog readers??).....I ENTERED INTO A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP. It's true!! It's true!! an epic week

What an epic week! I'll start with tonight. So my friend Abby moved to Winston. Totally exciting, long awaited, great-opportunity-for-her, overall momentous occasion. I told her we'd celebrate. Picked my favorite restaurant downtown. Her sister drove in from Raleigh. I invited my best work friend to come. We enjoyed a great dinner downtown tonight. Felt all "small city metropolitan." (or at least I did). We walked as a group of four out to the parking lot, myself in front. I heard a scream. I turned around, expecting to see her talking to someone she knew. Instead I saw a man running away from us, and Abby saying that he tried to take her purse. I screamed at him. He just ran away. I saw a cop down the street who pulled someone over. I ran to him to ask for help. He helped us. "Robber" proceeds to come OUT of the parking deck near us AGAIN! pre-wedding festivities continue!

Blair's wedding is getting ever closer....about 10 days to be exact. We are all definitely feeling the craziness, that is for sure. Are weddings ever really "simple" affairs?? Despite the hectic schedule of wedding planning, we are all so excited for next week and have high hopes for a wonderful wedding weekend. Blair is the first of us four kids to get married, the first cousin on one side & only the second on the other to get married - so we are all new at this wedding thing! =) We celebrated with my dad's family this weekend to give them a chance to meet Matthew and his family. My dad's family is huge and most of them were able to come with us to Falls Lake park for two big meals, football, and "hanging out." The rain held off (as the rainbow in the morning promised us!) and Blair and I sobbed leaving because it was such a special day. We didn't want it to end.
