On August 19, 2016, our family received a tremendous blessing in the birth of my niece, Audrey. All of you older siblings out there can possibly relate to the feeling of SHOCK when a younger sibling goes through a significant life change. Watching my sister be pregnant, and the process of being on pins and needles waiting to hear that she gave birth, was SURREAL. It was incredibly hard to be so far away and not to be able to be at the hospital cheering her on! Between the distance and the fact that Audrey was born on day two of my New Student Orientation program, it was impossible. But two weeks later, for Labor Day, I was able to fly to Nashville and have an entire weekend of cuddles with the sweetest angel in the entire world!! My heart explodes with love for this precious girl. Audrey Ann, you are a gift from God in the lives of your parents, but also to your Aunt Brookie!
